How often are facilities inspected?
All premises are inspected as per the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s guidance to public health units. Premises’ may be inspected more often (e.g. re-inspections, complaints received, to follow up on a possible outbreak, etc.).
What do online inspection reports tell me?
The results of inspections posted on this website describe what the Public Health Inspector observed at the time of the inspection. This website is not intended to guarantee the conditions of a premises at all times and should not be relied upon for that purpose. The online report will tell you the premises name, address and type, date and type of inspection, and indicate whether any areas of non-compliance were found during the inspection. The report may indicate if an issue was corrected during inspection and/or whether follow up was required.
